Quantifying the impacts of the Tambopata-Bahuaja Project

News

Original article here.

As part of the Althelia Climate Fund, Ecosphere+ is accountable to the highest environmental, social and governance standards (ESG) and ESG excellence is a key dimension of every project supported by the Althelia Climate Fund.

We believe that an impact-driven approach is essential to addressing the interrelated challenges arising from climate change, resource depletion and increasing demands from a growing global population. Our projects, including the Tambopata-Bahuaja Biodiversity Reserve in Peru, are best-in-class in terms of quantifying the impacts they have across multiple areas.

Through achieving environmental and social excellence our projects are robust, sustainable and long-lasting, benefiting communities and the environment beyond the life of the investment.

In this video, filmed at his landscape talk at the GLF Investment Case 2018 in Washington DC, Christian del Valle, Managing Partner of Althelia, outlines the huge measurable impacts that the Tambopata project is achieving in a number of different areas including biodiversity, sustainable enterprise and women’s equality. Tambopata, along with our other projects, contributes to mitigating climate change through the protection of an area of the Amazon rainforest, funded by the purchase of carbon credits by Ecosphere+ customers and partners.
